TAKE THE SUBMARINE TO PARIS

A vampire performance about Bela Lugosi, who for thousands of years has frequented various fashion shows around the world with their beautiful dresses. They have now set course for Paris Fashion Week, accompanied by their loyal servant, Vlad. On board, they have a frozen body intended for dinner.

In a raw staging, with everything from cabaret to techno music, the work breaks with preconceived notions about how theater should be experienced, as well as who should be able to experience it.

The performance is produced by Kaosteater in collaboration with the cultural venues Nicolai in Kolding and Turkis in Aarhus. Kaosteater dreams of creating a sustainable and systemic change in the arts and cultural sector to make it more diverse and democratic. As part of this, the audience groups of the performance will have the opportunity to participate in open rehearsals, where they can provide feedback and thus help shape the work together with the project’s artists. Kaosteater will also hold workshops for culture enthusiasts who wish to acquire skills for developing creative productions.

Note: The performance lasts approximately 75 minutes without an intermission and features strobe lights, loud music, and weapon props. It contains graphic scenes and adult content, and is not recommended for children under 16 years old
