TAKE THE SUBMARINE TO PARIS
A vampire performance about Bela Lugosi, who for several thousand years has frequented various fashion shows around the world wearing beautiful dresses. They/she/he is now heading to Paris Fashion Week accompanied by their loyal servant, Vlad. On board, they carry a frozen body intended as dinner.
In a raw staging that blends everything from cabaret to techno music, the work challenges preconceived notions of how theatre should be experienced—and equally, who should be able to experience it.
The performance is produced by Kaosteater, a company dreaming of creating sustainable and systemic change in the arts and cultural sector—towards greater diversity and democracy. Read more about Kaosteater’s work and the visions behind Versace’s Longest Dream in this article from Iscene.
